Mey-Mey carpets

A long time ago these carpets were knotted for the Safavid court. These fine pieces of Persian carpet craftsmanship are among the finest ever hand-knotted. Carpets are still made by hand in Meymey, a small town about 100 km from Isfahan. Mey-Mey belong to the trilogy of Dschoschogan carpets and are of fine quality.
