As a protest against the German occupier and because more and more people were at home, the so-called home industry was created. All kinds of homemade objects that honored the country and the resistance were made at home. For example, Dutch coins were also edited to show the aversion to the occupying forces. According to the stories, the guilders were sold in secret and the proceeds were for the benefit of the resistance.
