The engraver of these coins was Luis Marchionni y Hombrón (LM on the Queen's neck), who was the main engraver of the Madrid Mint from 1854 and General Engraver of the Spanish Mints from 1861.
The coins minted in the Manila mint had their circulation prohibited in Spain, where other monetary systems (reals or escudos) prevailed according to the years of the reign of Isabel II
