China Tea Company, made in Zhaoliqiao Tea Brick Factory.
Reverse (although framed) plausibly 16 pre-cut bars with Chinese lucky knots.
Can be dated approx. April 1953 - 1977.
Size of the frame 23 x 28 x 5 cm.

Tea bricks were used as currency in China, Mongolia, Tibet, Central Asia and Russia from the 9th to the 20th century. The stones were mainly produced in the south of China.
