This work is a collection of short biographical sketches of notable sultans and viziers, some of the most emblematic Ottoman figures: Amurat III, Muhammad III, Ashmet I, Achmet III, Osman I, Mustapha I, Amurat IV, Ibrahim I, Mehemet IV.

It also includes descriptions of Ottoman hussars, infantry, military officers, as well as religious figures and traditions.
