Rv: ΑΝΤΙΟΞΕΩΝ - ΕΠΙ ΟΥΑΡΟΥ, Tyche n. r. sitzend, Palmzweig in der R., zu ihren Füßen Orontes. Publius Quinctilius Varus war von 7/6 - 5/4 v. Chr. kaiserlicher Statthalter in Syrien. Von 7 - 9 n. Chr. war er dann Legat in Germanien, wo er im Frühsommer des Jahres 9 n. Chr. in der sog. 'Varusschlacht' gegen den Cherusker Arminius die XVII., XVIII. und XIX.
