HISTORY/OVERVIEW
This Volkswagen was born as a 1970 model 1302, however in 1995 it was used as the basis for a "Traveling Refuge" project:
the bodywork is modified and rebuilt with the addition of a "House"-shaped structure in solid wood, complete with sofa, working kitchenette with fireplace and opening windows! Look at all the details, the finishes: a work of passion and care for all the details -
It was used by the previous owner as a base for the Alpine Club during rallies and parties and festivals, also as a mobile bar and ticket office and during Volkswagen rallies; it was very successful and was photographed in many magazines and newspapers of the time (see photo).
It is built remaining in the shape of the vehicle without protrusions.
It is an excellent opportunity for a unique vehicle, also for traveling street food, bars, pubs and much more for parties and festivals: it is also equipped with an approved tow hook for being able to tow small trailers.
EXTERNAL
The bodywork is very solid and maintains the original chassis, it was also entirely hand painted in 1995 and presents very well with minimal signs of normal use; The underbody is solid.
INTERNAL
The solid wood interiors were hand-carved and made to measure and are in excellent condition: like the furniture, the fireplace and the entire roof with real water gutter and insulating tiles.
MECHANICS
The engine (code B - 1600cc) has recently been restarted and the car starts with the key and the engine runs very well, however the roadworthiness test has expired and normal maintenance is required for road use.
