New release Trilogie le Pin of 3 excellent vintage in 1 Magnum. Very limited and very difficult to find. Trilogie, wine by Le Pin, mix of 3 vintages (2016,2017, 2018). Not a second wine, but rather a special cuvee and different concept, mix of declassified grapes from Le Pin including some Cabernet Franc (Le Pin is 100% Merlot). Total production around 5000 bottles and 300 Magnums! Each vintage in Pomerol shows a distinct weather pattern and this newest version of Trilogie shows how beautifully we can combine the character of each into a new blend. Here the sunny, exotic fruit of the 2016 is tempered by the juicy freshness and rather classic character of the 2017 and it is the 2018 with its excellent balance and ripe tannins that provides the cornerstone to the latest release.
