Barong Macan (tiger) is used at various temple dances, including at Calon Arang, Arja and purification ceremonies of the village.

The mask has two handles behind at the bottom and in light tropical wood cut. It has an impressive appearance and was used during Hindu ceremonies in Bali.
Barong dancer kept the mask with the handles face which he jaws of the mask was moving up and down, this made during this magical dance, a wild rattling noise.
The two ears are loose and be pushed to the sides in small incisions, also can move the tongue.
Condition: good condition with traces of use / age. Front tooth is slightly torn. See images for their own impression.
