Fraai Parastone beeld van de kunstenaar Gustav Klimt (1865-1918) Het beeld is voorzien van nopjes aan de onderzijde. Het beeld is afgewerkt tot in de details en heeft bijzonder fraaie kleuren.
Het ca. 25 jaar oude beeld is verpakt in de originele verpakking en is voorzien van een label/certificaat.

Klimt verbeeldt in De drie levensfasen van de vrouw de kringloop van het leven; de opvolging van geboorte jeugd en dood fascineerde hem en vormde een belangrijk thema in diens oeuvre. De tegenstelling van jeugd en ouderdom brengt hij tot uitdrukking door stilistische contrasten en verschillende realiteitsniveaus. Een jonge dromerige vrouw in serene houding wordt geplaatst tegenover een en profil weergegeven naakte oude vrouw met een verlepte huid, die gebogen haar gezicht verbergt achter een hand en haar loshangende haren.[1] De zuiverheid, onschuld en levenskracht van de jeugd wordt aldus geplaatst tegenover het verval en de schaamte van de ouderdom.

Gustav Klimt (Baumgarten, tegenwoordig deel uitmakend van Wenen), 14 juli 1862 – Wenen, 6 februari 1918) was een Oostenrijkse symbolistische schilder, muralist en tekenaar. Hij geldt als het meest prominente lid van de Wiener Secession, waarvan hij ook enige tijd voorzitter was. Kenmerkend voor zijn latere werken, waarmee hij het meest bekend werd, is het "decoratief ornamentalisme" (waarbij hij vaak ook werkte met bladgoud) en de suggestief-erotische symboliek. Hij maakte vooral naam met zijn vrouwportretten en allegorische werken, maar schilderde ook een groot aantal landschappen. Klimts kunst ontstond tijdens een artistieke bloeiperiode in het Wenen van het belle époque en wordt vaak geassocieerd met de jugendstilbeweging en de art nouveau. Zijn oeuvre wordt wel beschouwd als exemplarisch voor het toenmalige spanningsveld tussen behoudzucht en drang tot vooruitgang.
