Immaculate condition blown and hand shaped Kralik art deco Tango glass basket circa 1920s. The plain, yellow glass surface is surrounded by black contoured twisted glass fiber highlighting the basket shape. The upper part is connected by a handle made of colorless glass fiber. Tango glass, the characteristic of which is that it has a single basic color, then a second, sharply contrasting color is added next to it. Tango glass is usually a blown glass vase or bowl with a bright color such as orange, yellow or red and another darker color such as black or blue, sometimes paired with a layer of white glass. On the sole, the blow area is circularly polished. Its interesting, regular stripes and harmonious proportions lend elegance to these decorative objects.
