2021 Bodegas La Horra, Corimbo Ecológico - Ribera del Duero - 4 Bottles (0.75L)

Intense and complex on the nose, with notes of pine forest and aromatic herbs, plum and cherry, and a voluminous and full palate, this Corimbo is a faithful representative of the 2021 harvest, characterized by high-quality, very structured, fresh and aromatic wines. Appearance Medium-high depth, with a dark red base and a red rim. Nose Very intense with notes of fruit, blackberry, and cherry, among the aromas of aromatic plants under the pine forest. The oak is very well blended. It is very complex and extremely delicate. Palate Voluminous, elegant, and extremely fine. The fruits and aromatic herbs form a harmonious and very delicate blend. Cherry and blackberry stand out against a background of marjoram and rockrose. There is a certain sweetness that comes from a warm and excellent vintage. Refreshing balsamic notes reminiscent of mint and marshmallow emerge. The palate is very pleasant, and a perception of fine, sweet, high-quality tannins lingers, giving it life. Serving Temperature Recommended serving at 16°C. Description Small plots in La Horra, Roa, and surrounding towns in the province of Burgos. Vines planted in bush-shaped vines. Age Vines averaging between 25 and 30 years old. Climate The winter of 2021 will go down in history for Filomena, the massive storm that brought Madrid to a standstill for a week due to snow. Spring was also cooler than usual, delaying budding and flowering by about 10 days. May and June saw major storms and hail, severely impacting more than 4,000 hectares in the Ribera del Duero region. The year was generally cool, with a very dry July and August. September saw some rain, which helped the plants complete the cycle and the grapes gain some weight, but overall the bunches were small and loose. The cycle was quite late. The harvest has been excellent. Harvest Hand-picked. Winemaking Spontaneous alcoholic fermentation in stainless steel tanks and malolactic fermentation in French oak vats. Aging Aging for 14 months in oak barrels (80% French and 20% American). Bottling Natural stabilization. Tim Atkin: A fine follow up to the 2020 release, this 2021 uses grapes from five different parcels in La Horra and Roa and has the freshness, elegance and poise of a cooler year. Violet, coconut and liquorice aromas are complemented by stylish French and 20% American oak, a ferrous, almost bloody undertone, plenty of acidity and layers of bramble, plum and black cherry IF YOU SEE DAMAGED THE BLX,REFUSED IT AND NOTED IN ALBARAN THE CAUSE PLEASE.
