Recent prepared skeleton of a Kwi Kwi, hoplosternum littoral, in a glass case. The skeleton is a so-called tape preparation which means that the connections (links) between the bones as well as that remained intact. This method of backbone tars is used in smaller skeletons and fish. There larvae of beetles using that eat the organic material of the dead animal, leaving only the bones. Subsequently, these are degreased and bleached. Dimensions of the cabinet are: 23cm x 11cm x 9cm
