Elegante coppia di sedie Thonet originali, realizzate in legno curvato a vapore, tecnica innovativa introdotta da Michael Thonet nella seconda metà dell’Ottocento e diventata iconica nell’arredamento europeo del Novecento.

Entrambe le sedie recano il marchio a fuoco Thonet, garanzia di autenticità e qualità. Lo schienale arcuato presenta un raffinato motivo inciso a decoro floreale e geometrico, tipico dello stile Liberty/Secessione Viennese, mentre la struttura snella ma resistente è sostenuta da gambe leggere ed eleganti, unite da cerchio di rinforzo alla base.

La seduta in legno massello, anch’essa incisa con decori ornamentali, mostra una splendida patina d’epoca che ne esalta il carattere autentico.

Elegant pair of original Thonet chairs, crafted in steam-bent wood, a groundbreaking technique introduced by Michael Thonet in the 19th century and made iconic in 20th-century European furniture design.

Both chairs bear the branded Thonet fire stamp, a mark of authenticity and craftsmanship. The arched backrest features finely engraved floral and geometric motifs, characteristic of the Viennese Secession/late Art Nouveau style, while the slender yet sturdy structure is supported by elegant legs reinforced with a circular stretcher.

The solid wood seat, also decorated with engraved patterns, retains a beautiful period patina that enhances its authenticity and charm.
