Extremely rare Viking pendant amulet of the mythological Scandinavian dragon Fafnir.
Mythological Viking amulet with a zoomorphic dragon shape.
Fafnir the dragon was one of the main deities in Norse mythology. He was a popular creature and the most famous among the Vikings.
Origin: Scandinavia
Material: bronze with a beautiful patina.

Date: 9th to 11th centuries AD - Medieval era
Size: 30 x 16 x 3 mm
Weight 5.16 grams.

Purchased by the current owner in 2004 in Vienna, Austria, at an antique market.
Collected since: 1980s.
