Mc Caviar 19cm cobalt blue by XTC Artist is an 8 edition resin sculpture, signed by hand and weighing about 1 kilogram with a 24 karat gold leaf finish and a nacre caviar spoon.
Description from the seller
Exceptional sculpture by XTC Artist:
Grand cornet by Mc Caviar Bleu, cobalt and 24K gold, with its mother-of-pearl spoon.
It measures 19cm high, weighs approximately 1kg, on a plexiglass base 10 x 15 cm and 15mm thick.
Designed and crafted in molded resin, adorned with 24-carat gold leaf (everything gold is made of pure gold leaf, including the logo), painted in cobalt blue, with a glossy varnish, and of course filled with caviar of my own making, accompanied by a mother-of-pearl caviar spoon.
This design will be produced in only 8 copies and 4 prototypes.
Probably XTC's most iconic work to date, in the blue and gold version, the original!
Reimagining a McDonald's cone as a luxurious dish in fast food style? Not so impossible!
Signed and numbered below, Certificate of Authenticity (COA) provided.
The sent sample is not necessarily the one shown in the photo.
Careful shipping and tracking.
Born in 1978 in the heart of France, XTC shaped his artistic universe through his interest in Design, Pop Art, and more recently Street Art. This visual exploration has turned into a passion that was to materialize.
XTC defines himself as a self-taught visual artist, associated with the Pop Art movement, through the détournement of contemporary mass-produced goods.
His creativity is expressed through the daring staging of icons of popular consumer culture (like McDonald's, Malabar, Chupa), which he juxtaposes with the world of luxury (including Chanel, Hermes, Veuve Clicquot champagne, and Caviar) and Street Art, further blurring the already tenuous boundaries between these worlds.
He expresses his art through sculpture, blending painting with all kinds of resins, plastics, and sometimes minerals.
He draws inspiration, among others, from Banksy, Keith Haring, Orlinski, Andy Warhol, Obey, and advertising and addictions in general.
All possible defects or imperfections are an integral part of the work.
