Russian silver cloisonné enamel pill box of 84 zolotniki (875/1000), with multicolour floral decoration, vermeil interior, Ø5.5 cm × H2.5 cm, 54 g, dating to the late 19th–early 20th century.
Description from the seller
Elegant Russian cloisonné enamelled silver box, finely hand-decorated with polychrome floral motifs on a silver background.
The decorations are made with translucent and opaque enamels in shades of light blue, blue, red, white and turquoise, arranged in a refined symmetrical design of floral and vegetal inspiration.
The interior is gold (vermeil), and on the bottom and on the inner lid there are clearly visible hallmarks:
“84” which indicates the title of Russian silver (84 zolotniki = 875/1000),
and the initials “HA” (probably the goldsmith’s mark).
These punches are typical of Imperial Russia of the late 19th - early 20th century.
The object is probably a pill box or snuff box.
