Description from the seller

Maria met the Child Jesus – porcelain – Germany, first half of the 20th century

Professionally shipped – more than 850 five-star reviews worldwide.

Fine figurine in polychrome porcelain, depicting the Virgin Mary with the Child Jesus in her arms. Mary wears a gilded crown and a richly decorated gown in soft pastel colors with gold-colored details, giving the overall piece an elegant appearance.

What makes this figurine special is a repair according to the Japanese kintsugi principle: the neck and left arm of the Child Jesus were restored with gold-colored glue. Instead of hiding the cracks, they are subtly emphasized, giving the figurine an extra dimension of symbolism – a reference to the beauty of restoration and impermanence.

Height approximately 38 cm. A few small signs of aging, otherwise in good condition with well-preserved colors and gilding.

Please look at the photos carefully, they are part of the description.

Shipped with track & trace.
