Two Satsuma vases finely decorated with scenes of daily life in polychrome enamels and pure gold. Dimensions: – 9.5 × 5 cm – 5.8 × 6.5 cm Satsuma ware is one of the finest expressions of Japanese ceramics. Originating from the ancient province of Satsuma (now Kagoshima), it was produced as early as the Edo period (1603–1868) using low-temperature firing, which gives it the characteristic surface with craquelure and vibrant decorations. ---The vases are good condition. Some enamel and gold wear consistent with age. Hairlines and restored cracks are present on both vases. Please refer to the pictures for further details. We will pack your object with the utmost care and entrust it to DHL or FedEx for delivery within 1–3 days.
