Description from the seller
A timeless and elegant pair of cantilever chairs from the celebrated German manufacturer Tecta, designed in continuity with the Bauhaus tradition of Mart Stam, Marcel Breuer and Jean Prouvé. This model, the D25, is defined by its refined architectural silhouette: a continuous bent steel tube frame supporting organically flexible, hand-woven seats and backs.
Both chairs feature their original deep navy woven upholstery, offering comfort and a rich tactile presence. The high backrests provide a graceful, elongated line, while the hand-wrapped armrests create a balanced and inviting form. The chromed cantilever bases give the chairs their iconic “floating” presence — visually light yet exceptionally stable in use.
A sophisticated and sculptural seating duo that carries the Bauhaus ideal of simplicity, material honesty, and functional beauty into contemporary interiors.
Original vintage pieces, not later reproductions.
Wear consistent with age and use. Minor losses. Good, original vintage condition. Light, age-appropriate wear: small scratches to the chrome and subtle patina to the woven surfaces. Structurally strong; weaving remains tight and supportive.
