Material: Bronze
Dimensions: 13.5 × 7.5 × 8 cm (h × w × d)

A powerful and characterful bronze composition — a fine decorative and collectible piece for lovers of French post-war art and hunting themes.
Historical context:
During the 1950s, French sculptors often revived traditional rural and sporting motifs in a modern, impressionistic manner. This piece reflects that post-war aesthetic — merging realism with expressive surface modeling, reminiscent of artists such as Georges Lucien Guyot and Roger Godchaux, who celebrated both movement and texture in bronze.
Note:
At the request of Catawiki, an extra photo has been added. On the underside of the base, a small, almost invisible scratch reveals the yellow glow of the bronze (see last photo).
