XTC, Mc Caviar Metallic Dark Blue with red Straw 19cm, a resin sculpture with 24K gold leaf, edition 1/4 E.A., year 2025, about 19 cm tall on a 15 × 10 cm base, weighing 1 kg, hand-signed, origin France, in Excellent condition.
Description from the seller
Exceptional sculpture by XTC Artist:
Large dark metallic blue Mc Caviar Cornet with 24K gold and its red straw.
It measures approximately 19cm high, weighs about 1kg, and is mounted on a plexiglass base measuring 15 x 10 cm with a thickness of 15mm.
Designed and made in molded resin, decorated with 24-karat gold leaf (all that is gold-colored is pure gold leaf, including the logo), painted in metallic dark blue. Protected under a varnish as shiny as it is resistant, and of course filled with caviar made by me with its straw.
This design will be produced in only 8 copies and 4 EA.
Probably XTC's most iconic work to date, in red and gold version.
Reimagining a McDonald's cone as a luxurious dish in fast food style? Not so impossible!
Signed and numbered on the base, Certificate of Authenticity (COA) provided.
The sample sent is not necessarily the one in the photo but will be similar.
Careful packaging and tracking
Born in 1978 in the heart of France, XTC shaped his artistic universe through his interest in Design, Pop Art, and more recently Street Art. This visual exploration has turned into a passion that was to materialize.
XTC defines himself as a self-taught visual artist, aligning with the Pop Art movement through the appropriation of contemporary mass-produced goods.
His creativity is expressed through the daring staging of icons of popular consumer culture (like McDonald's, Malabar, Chupa), which he juxtaposes with the world of luxury (including Chanel, Hermes, Veuve Clicquot champagne, and Caviar) and Street Art, further blurring the already tenuous boundaries between these worlds.
He expresses his art through sculpture, blending painting with all kinds of resins, plastics, and sometimes minerals.
He draws inspiration, among others, from Banksy, Keith Haring, Orlinski, Andy Warhol, Obey, and advertising and addictions in general.
All defects or imperfections are considered an integral part of the work.
