2013 Dom Bella Grande Reserva Red 1 x 1.50L 1 Magnum Bottle Dão Region WINEMAKER: Pascal Chatonnet. WINE VARIETIES: Touriga Nacional (100%). VINIFICATION Machine harvested and then placed onto a selection tray where only the best bunches will enter the winery. Cold maceration before destemming and crushing. Grapes are then transferred to temperature-controlled stainless steel vats for alcoholic and malolactic fermentation. Maceration lasts for approximately 20 days. The wine is then aged for up to 24 months in 225 litre French oak barrels (a small amount is new) and then for another 6 years in the bottle before being released to the market. TASTING NOTES Deep ruby. Pronounced aromas of bergamote, black fruit preserve, dried leaves, cigar boxspices, red cherry preserve and a touch of roasted vanilla. lots of aromatic layers. Full bodied, with tight tannins. Very long lasting finish, showing a robust and generous wine. SERVING Excellent to accompany red meat and game dishes. Also recommended to accompany cheeses and chocolate and red fruit desserts. Serve between 14ºC and 16ºC.
