Steiff - Plush animal Set of 3 vintage Steiff elephants in mohair – Steiff button, “Original Steiff – Made in Germany” - 1950-1960 - Germany

This lot consists of three vintage Steiff elephants made of gray mohair, each fitted with red felt blankets, characteristic of the classic Steiff productions from the 1950s to the 1970s. All three pieces display the traditional shape, stitched details, and quality materials associated with Steiff’s post-war craftsmanship.
Large elephant:

The large model retains its original Steiff metal button on the ear. It also features a metal bell under the neck, typical of certain vintage Steiff designs. The red felt blanket shows a small mark, clearly visible in the photos.
Approximate dimensions: 19 cm long, 16 cm high, 10 cm deep.

Medium elephant:
The medium elephant still has its original yellow Steiff tag, secured with the metal staple. The tag shows the inscriptions “Original Steiff”, “Made in Germany”, and the partially readable reference 6500/10, consistent with Steiff’s mid-20th-century numbering system.

Approximate dimensions: 13 cm long (including trunk), 10 cm high, 5 cm deep.

Small elephant:
The miniature elephant no longer has its Steiff button, likely lost over time, but remains fully consistent with vintage Steiff production: gray mohair, traditional form, and red felt blanket.
Approximate dimensions: 11 cm long, 6 cm high, 5 cm deep.

Materials:
All three elephants are made of classic gray mohair, each fitted with a red felt blanket.

The large model includes metal elements such as the bell and Steiff button, and all three have tails finished with traditional cord.
