Description from the seller
Thomas Vase Porcelain – 1930s – Oriental decoration – Organic shapes & painterly textures
Elegant vase with lid from the Thomas Porzellan manufactory (Germany), made in the 1930s, characterized by a refined decoration inspired by oriental art. The soft and harmonious shape, typical of ginger jars, and the rich pictorial texture make this piece a perfect example of organic design with a strong decorative presence.
The vase features a richly decorated surface with birds, chrysanthemums, foliage, and geometric motifs, painted in a natural palette of earthy tones, greens, and antique pinks. The overall effect creates an extremely sophisticated visual texture, typical of European porcelains inspired by Japanese taste in the early twentieth century.
The combination of a fluid shape, rich surface, and warm colors makes the vase ideal for Japandi, Organic Modern, or bright contemporary environments, where it becomes a decorative element with a strong aesthetic presence.
