ORIGINAL ARTWORK

Mixed media on a wooden panel. Oil paint is applied with a special finger painting technique (applied with fingers only). The artwork contains multiple layers of acrylic and oil paint, watercolor, gouache, cement, eggshells, coffee, sand and is therefore very rich in structure and intensity (also due to the burning process of the resin/wax). The resin is burned on with a self-developed technique.

Materials used: photo, wood, coffee, cement, red wine, egg shells, sand, gouache, East Indian ink, acrylic paint, oil paint, watercolor, damar resin, beeswax and varnish.

The top layer of the artwork consists of a special varnish (glossy), which protects it from dust and UV light. The work is signed on the back by the artist. Also comes with a certificate of authenticity.


Rouzbeh Tahmassian, established visual artist from Rotterdam. His work is sold and exhibited worldwide. The unique combination of techniques and materials and expressive images make his work very popular. There are no reproductions, all works are original and each one unique.

With a strong presence and success at the leading online platforms and galleries, demand for his work has grown enormously in recent years. His work is mysterious and stimulates the viewer's imagination. His art is constantly in motion and is not only limited to figurative, but also abstract, portrait work and sculptures are part of his oeuvre.

As the artist himself describes: “I use many different materials such as wood, paint, (bees)wax, sanguis, gold and silver, cotton and various types of resin. The frameworks have been set out in advance, but the creative process only begins after the first hand has been laid on it. I am guided by my feelings. There are then no limits to what I can do. I am always looking for a new effect, a new image, looking for the unknown. I feel like there is always more to discover.”
