Giorgio Binda, Agosto2024#1, an original acrylic painting on canvas, 55 x 60 cm, created in 2024, signed by hand, from Italy, in excellent condition, sold directly by the artist.
Description from the seller
The painting is mounted on a 60x55 wooden frame and is in perfect condition. It is signed on the back and sold directly by the artist. The work is original and is delivered together with the certificate of authenticity. The painting is shipped in a cardboard box, previously wrapped in neutral pH tissue paper and then protected with bubble wrap. The work Agosto 2024#1 is part of a diptych along with the work Agosto 2024#2; both pieces have been exhibited in the artist's solo shows.
The two works 'Agosto2024' by Giorgio Binda present themselves as a pictorial meditation on the passage of time and the stylistic evolution of the artist, marking a transitional moment from abstraction to a sensibility more oriented towards contemporary art. Each of the two pieces, measuring 60x55 cm, communicate through a blurred, almost ethereal abstract background. Pastel colors form the scene, predominantly pinkish beige and pale blue, combinations that evoke a sense of calm, lightness, and temporal suspension. In contrast to the harmonious fluidity of the background, the composition is animated by abstract shapes and sharp lines, distinctive and immediately recognizable elements of the artist's style. These graphic structures intersect and overlap with controlled energy, creating a visual rhythm that breaks the static nature of the background. The diptych invites the viewer to decipher the interaction between geometric discipline and chromatic freedom, a balance that characterizes the artist's formal exploration. The two works 'Agosto2024' represent an artistic turning point, a moment when the artist pays greater attention to the demands of contemporary art, pushing his abstraction toward realms of greater essentiality and conceptual impact. Although distinct, the two canvases complement each other, reinforcing the visual narrative of the artist's creative process. The diptych 'Agosto 2024' was exhibited at Giorgio Binda's solo show 'Cromatic Expansions' held at the MO.C.A. gallery in Rome in May 2025.
Artistic Profile - Giorgio Binda, an abstract and contemporary artist.
In my works, there are always original abstract forms created with a technique I developed and refined over the years. This technique is, if I am not mistaken, unique and represents the signature of my works. Over time and through experimentation, my activity has diversified into separate creative paths. Alongside abstract works of forms, lines, and colors, there are monochromes in shades of gray and geometric compressions. There are also works of only color, where successive chromatic layers generate forms and visual suggestions. In the most recent works, innovations and blends of styles and languages emerge, along with contaminations, citations, and the use of new techniques. These elements deviate from the typical traits of abstract art to reach affiliations and eclecticism more oriented toward contemporary art. Another element I constantly seek is originality, which I try to reflect in my works. Throughout my artistic research, I have often sought originality through randomness. To this end, I have considered it useful, in some cases, to incorporate production procedures capable of generating unpredictable results not entirely controllable by will. Another peculiarity of my production concerns the representation of almost all works in the form of a diptych. This approach, in my view, allows for amplifying and strengthening the visual narrative.
