Ecorce de Luxe by Hermès
This Art Stray-Nos sculpture reinterprets the ultimate icon of feminine luxury — the Hermès Birkin bag — by recreating it in a trompe-l’œil material that evokes crumpled leather, frozen in a smooth, glossy resin. This choice of material creates a powerful contrast between the appearance of fragility (paper, disposable) and the true hardness of the object (resin, unchanging).
The bag, which typically embodies status, rarity, and desire, here becomes a frozen carcass, like a fossil of consumer obsession. It is displayed on a pedestal like a relic of a contemporary cult: that of prestige.
The Hermès orange hue amplifies the visual impact and recalls the brand strategy pushed to the extreme. The partially eroded logo evokes symbolic wear: that of a luxury emptied of meaning, repeated to saturation.
Wrinkled faux leather = superficial imitation of luxury, ready to be discarded.
Brilliance and rigidity = frozen, unalterable desire, but without function.
The keyless lock = illusion of security, possession without real access.
The white base = sacred, almost religious staging of an artifact.
Authenticity Certificate Art Stray-Nos Included
Each bag is sold with its certificate of authenticity issued by Art Stray-Nos, confirming the originality and exclusivity of the piece. Perfect for enhancing your interior, this item will add a touch of chic and contemporary Pop Art to your space.
The work will be carefully packaged with high-quality protective materials (bubble wrap, foam, and reinforced cardboard) and shipped promptly with full insurance, ensuring safe delivery.
