A striking combination of fluorite, pyrite and barite from Spain, featuring deep violet fluorite, gold pyrite lamellae and pink barite aggregates for a dramatic geology‑collector piece.
Description from the seller
Fluorite, Pyrite, and Barite – Rare Formation from Spain
A very unusual formation of very dark purple fluorite, golden pyrite in lamellar crystals, and light barite in fan-shaped aggregates. A rare natural formation, characterized by a perfect balance of colors, shapes, and textures, resulting from complex geological processes that occurred in Iberian mineralizations associated with hydrothermal districts.
The fluorite, ranging from saturated violet to nearly black in some areas, exhibits the typical fracture with faceted surfaces that reflect light, creating a natural mosaic of geometries. The fracture zones are sharp, glossy, with internal transparencies that reveal the quality of the material and the depth of the color. The chromatic contrast is heightened by pyrite veins, present in thick plates and widespread microcrystallizations: a natural, shiny metallic gold that traverses the fluorite like geological veins frozen in time.
To complete the formation, elegant aggregates of peach-pink colored barite, grown in well-defined crystalline tufts. The barite adds an aesthetic element of great delicacy, creating a unique visual contrast between the metallic hardness of pyrite and the glassy compactness of fluorite.
The specimen exhibits a complex and layered structure, where each mineral tells a different moment of the same geological story. This type of association
