Description from the seller
After a few months of absence... the 'Giakiprods tracks' return to Catawiki to present another jewel... one of the iconic tracks that have entertained millions of kids around the world!!
This is one of those where the legendary Italian brand introduced the 'electronic modules' in the 1980s: the Champion 'Speed Programmer' track!!
A box of modest dimensions (68x50x10 cm), with a small modification to accommodate 2 added straight sections (see the photos), protects a track with a 6.40-meter development.
The assembled track occupies a space of 2.75 x 1.20 meters, takes 14 straight sections including a 'chicane' and 8 curves, five flat sections and three parabolics; the Polistil code of the track was 30300 (see photo ... in which you can also notice the original length, of 5.80 meters).
A feature of this proposal is the Speed Programmer, a hand-held accelerator that allows a car to run on its own... for break-in purposes, or to practice driving with the other car.
All materials have been checked, cleaned, and tested: the car, tracks, transformer, and buttons. Several tracks are new, never used... they come from an expansion box.
I also added some replacement guardrails and alzapista. To improve performance, the transformer, which is always an original Polistil, is 12 volts instead of the standard 9 volts.
The cars are two classic Polistil models from this series, in the version with the standard chassis, 'long' ... but with soft 'tubeless' tires: the Lotus 78 MK3, code A114, and the Ferrari 412T1, code 6003. Contact strips are in place, magnets present, tires in order ... because many old tracks, with tires hardened by time, are unusable!
Be careful of those who don't show, don't explain, and don't specify anything!
I do it because I'm passionate, not a merchant: I enjoy restoring this legendary material to its full potential!
The box is in acceptable condition after a complete restoration, including reinforcement work (see photo); I guarantee excellent and protective packaging.
The package is quite bulky, hence the shipping costs... read my feedback!! Hand delivery is possible... if you pass by my area.
