Description from the seller
Porcelain vase by Bing & Grøndahl (B&G) – Denmark – Floral decor 'White Flowers' underglaze – Model 420-5368
Magnificent vase in fine Danish porcelain, made by the historic manufacturer Bing & Grøn-dahl (B&G) of Copenhagen.
This piece is a classic example of Danish excellence in the technique of painting underglaze.
The vase features an elegant and slender baluster shape.
The surface features a beautiful and delicate gradient of background color, starting with a taupe/blue-gray tone at the base and gradually fading into pure white at the top and on the neck.
On the front, a finely hand-painted floral decoration stands out, depicting a branch with large white flowers (similar to honeysuckle or anemones) with yellow/ochre dotted centers and green leaves.
The colors are soft and natural, typical of the B&G style, and are protected by a shiny, glossy enamel.
The production of these vases is carried out in accordance with ancient traditions: during the manufacturing process, the object passes through the skilled hands of numerous artisans.
After the first firing, each piece is decorated and manually signed by the painter, making every piece unique.
The vase is fully authenticated by the marks present under the base (visible in the photo).
The green stamp of the manufactory: the logo with the three stylized towers (symbol of Copenhagen) surrounded by the inscription 'COPENHAGEN PORCELAIN - B&G - MADE IN DENMARK'.
2. The hand-painted numerical codes in green: '420-5368'. The first number usually refers to the shape of the vase, and the second to the specific decoration.
The initials of the painter/artist who decorated the piece, also hand-painted (they appear to be 'AN').
