Description from the seller
Welcome to this special book sale featuring authors listed in the Photobook by Parr & Badger. (Various books by Lewis Baltz are listed in Photobook, particularly Park City published in 1980).
130 pages and 53 full-color photographs printed on one side only, with text in Italian and English by Antonello Frongia. This book was published on the occasion of the exhibition held at the Galleria Civica di Modena from September 15 to November 18, 2007. This book is unavailable online.
To view the photographic series in full screen, double-click on a photograph, then you can return to the standard display at any time.
89-91* immerses us in Baltz's universe, at the heart of European and Japanese workplaces from the early 1990s, where he observes the spread of information technologies that now transform our interiors with the same force that development once transformed our environment. His interest is not in technology per se, but in its epiphenomena: 'The feeling that it proliferates, that it is omnipresent in society, seems to me to only distance people further from their conception of reality, from the phenomenal world, and their relationship to it.' What are the places and non-places shared by people and machines? How are we transformed by them? These are the questions posed by these photographs. Baltz's work has been exhibited worldwide.
Exemplary in excellent condition, practically like new. A book from my personal collection kept with the utmost care. Protected shipping with reinforced packaging and guaranteed international postal tracking. In case of multiple purchases, grouped shipping is possible with a refund of any overpaid postal fees via Paypal.
