AI-assisted summary

Description from the seller

Lorenzo Delleani (Pollone, January 17, 1840 – Turin, November 13, 1908)
A medley on the table
Authenticated by Bistolfi, a friend and painter who authenticated the works of Deleani.
Lorenzo Delleani studied at the Accademia Albertina in Turin, as a pupil of Cesare Gamba and Carlo Arienti. Initially, he joined the Romantic painters and painted canvases with historical subjects, earning some official recognitions. In 1874, he exhibited at the Salon de Paris and returned there in 1878 with Regate a Venezia. From the late 1870s onwards, his style gradually changed, both in expressive means and thematic repertoire, towards a renewed focus on studying landscapes from life, creating canvases with dense and shimmering tones. His small panels, executed with quick and confident strokes, were famous.
