Andy Warhol, Warhol: The Tate Gallery + Marilyn Lobby Publicity, a 1971 Tate Gallery catalogue (special printing) in English, softback, 100 pages, 20 x 20 cm, in very good condition and accompanied by a Tate publicity print.

Andy Warhol 1971
LOT comprises two objects:
1) A rare, superior condition Tate Gallery 100 page catalogue, in color and black and white.
2) An extremely rare Tate Gallery entrance lobby publicity print featuring Marilyn Monroe.
Both items published by Tate Gallery, London, to accompany their Warhol exhibition February 17th to March 28th 1971.
A lavishly illustrated book about the life and work of Andy Warhol, the iconic artist of the pop art movement in great condition. Some minor foxing. Sized approximately 20cm x 20cm.
Book is accompanied by a Tate publicity print (screen print on canvas sized approximately 35cm x 78 cm) used as lobby entrance publicity for the Warhol exhibition, includes the official Book-In date stamp dated February 17th 1971 (black) and the Exit Stamp (red, faint) dated March 28th 1971. This was published by the gallery itself, not attributed to Warhol, and later gifted to VIP guests. The canvas edges are worn and the rear stained.
