Taniguchi Kōkyō 谷口香喬 - Kōrin Gafu 光琳画譜 - 1891

This exceptionally beautiful woodblock-printed album is a rare Meiji-period revival of Kōrin Gafu, inspired by the Rinpa school founder Ogata Kōrin (1658–1716). Each page presents a fan-shaped design filled with seasonal motifs—autumn maple, cranes, rabbits, and waves—executed with brilliant pigments, gold and silver metallic inks, and refined gradations. Created by Taniguchi Kōkyō and published by Tanaka Jihei in Kyoto, the work captures the luxurious yet restrained spirit of Rinpa aesthetics. Due to its meticulous hand-printing, delicate mica shimmer, and limited circulation, surviving examples are exceedingly rare. Today, it is treasured as an invaluable reference for scholars and collectors of classical Japanese art and design. Packaged and sent by Japan Post depends on the situation.
It takes about 3~4 weeks to receive normally. Import duties, taxes, and charges are not included in the item price or shipping cost. These charges are the buyer's responsibility.
