Old cachet – University of Brussels – Laboratory of radioactive substances measurements (20th century)
Blackened wood handle institutional seal, turned, with lateral fixation by a large metal nail. The matrix is made of solid brass, circular in shape, deeply engraved. The entire set clearly corresponds to an administrative scientific seal used by a university department.
Matrix: Laboratory for Radioactive Substance Measurements University of Brussels
Lettering in capital letters, in two concentric circles. The central field bears the mention 'Université de Bruxelles'.
The engraving style, vocabulary, and function indicate a seal used to certify scientific documents, reports, or technical seals related to radioactivity measurements.
Probable usage: years 1930–1960 (a reasonable stylistic estimate).
