No Reserve Price - Georg Jensen - Bangle Silver - Georg Jensen London

Sterling Silver Hinged Bangle – Georg Jensen London – 1969 – Engraved – Safety Chain A beautiful vintage solid sterling silver hinged bangle, fully hallmarked for London, 1969, and made by Georg Jensen Ltd., London (maker’s mark GJLD). This is an authenticated piece from the British branch of the renowned Danish silversmith Georg Jensen. The bangle has refined mid-century craftsmanship, elegant foliate engraving and its original safety chain. This piece is made of sterling silver (925). It carries the maker’s mark GJLD for Georg Jensen Ltd., the lion passant for sterling silver, the leopard’s head for the London Assay Office, and the date letter “O” for the year 1969. The clasp is a traditional box clasp and closes securely, supported by the original safety chain. The engraving is a classic scroll and foliate pattern typical of quality British work of the period. The condition is very good vintage condition with only light surface marks appropriate for its age. The hinge and clasp function well, and the bangle retains a clean, bright appearance. This is a genuine and collectable example of Georg Jensen’s London-assayed silver, which is considerably less common than Copenhagen-stamped pieces from the same era. It will be shipped securely and with tracking.
