„Reichs-Geographia und Genealogia“ – Hieronymus Dicelius after Martin Zeiller – Complete work in original 17th-century vellum – Leipzig, 1696 – 1451 pages
Description
Rare and complete 17th-century reference work on the structure of the Holy Roman Empire (“Heiliges Römisches Reich”), printed in Leipzig in 1696 and preserved in its original contemporary vellum binding.
This monumental volume (1451 pages) contains detailed descriptions of all territories, cities, noble families, principalities, and ruling houses of the Empire, based on the geographical and genealogical works of Martin Zeiller (1589–1661).
The edition was compiled, expanded and published by Hieronymus Dicelius, one of the most important genealogical editors of the period.
The book offers an encyclopaedic overview of the Imperial Circles, sovereign families, political structures, offices, dignities and the full genealogical framework of the Empire up to the year 1696.
A massive vellum-bound compendium, rarely found complete due to its size.
