Next-generation image stabilization function (VR II) reduces camera shake by an amount equivalent to approximately 3 shutter speed steps*.
The sensor automatically detects camera shake when taking pictures in the stream mode. Without switching modes, it reduces only vertical blurring from left to right camera movement and only horizontal blurring from up and down camera movement.
Equipped with a focus mode changeover switch for easy switching between AF and MF shooting.
Manual Priority Auto Focus function allows the camera to instantly switch to manual focus mode even during AF shooting.
