AI-assisted summary

Description from the seller

A remarkable floater crystal of gem sphalerite that was recovered from the cemented pocket breccias found at the bottom of previously opened geodes that were only accessible after the mining stopped at Aliva and before the mine was sealed during the early 90s. These breccias are actually the main source from which specimens and the excellent gem rough this mine was made famous for came from, but unfortunately in just a few years due to the small number of pockets that were opened in the first place and the large demand from both collectors and gem cutters, all of the accessible material to prospectors quickly ran out, most of it actually going in the gem market due to its higher liquidity, making any material with any kind of gemological value extremely rare. This piece in particular is a really unusual-shaped floater crystal with a really marked polygonal geometry being shaped like a P, and what is most remarkable, featuring a completely gem and flawless interior, where distinct and very sharp zonations are clearly visible. There is no damage to be reported.
