Original 1964 Tokyo Olympic five‑LP box set “Columbia Olympic Records” (Vol.1–5) released in Japan by Nippon Columbia, with ADM-1 to ADM-5 catalog numbers, including the red outer box, rare obi strip, printed insert, and multi‑coloured inner sleeves; media is VG/G and the outer box and sleeves show wear.
Description from the seller
This is the original 1964 Tokyo Olympic “Columbia Olympic Records” 5-LP box set, produced in Japan by Nippon Columbia and distributed in cooperation with NHK. It was released to commemorate the Games of the XVIII Olympiad (Tokyo 1964) and documents official broadcast audio, ceremonies, and highlights from the event.
Included in this lot:
- 5 LP records (VOL.1 – VOL.5)
- Original outer storage box (red with gold lettering)
- Rare Japanese obi strip (Tokyo Olympic branding)
- Original printed insert sheet (Japanese)
- Multi-coloured inner sleeve artwork
This set has been stored for decades, and the condition reflects its age:
- Outer box has wear, dirt, fading, stains, and marks
- Obi strip shows creasing, small tears, and old tape repairs
- Inner sleeves show age yellowing and handling wear
- Vinyl records themselves were not photographed, so the media condition is listed as VG/G estimated
A desirable historical item for collectors of Olympic memorabilia, Japanese vinyl, and mid-century sports culture.
Method of Shipment
