Christophe van der Windt was a Dutch painter. Chris van der Windt was the son of Arij van der Windt and Anna Christina Kragt. His father was a furniture manufacturer. Van der Windt is considered part of the Leiden Impressionists, a group of painters also referred to as the Leiden School.
Her beloved subject was the intimate farmyard as depicted in this work.

The canvas is in good condition. The frame is perhaps the original and shows signs of aging.
