Egyptian bronze situle from the Late Period (XXVI–XXXI Dynasties), dated 664–332 BC, cylindrical body with a pointed base, height 6.8 cm, diameter 2.4 cm, ceremonial vase used for daily temple rituals, in excellent condition; provenance France via Galerie O.C.E., former Norman private collection, acquired in 2023.
Description from the seller
Egyptian bronze situla - Late Period, 664 to 332 BC.
An antique bronze vase formerly equipped with a handle, with a cylindrical body swollen at the lower part, and a pointed base.
This situla is a ceremonial vessel used for the daily ritual in temples.
The vase is in excellent condition, and the two small annular handles are in perfect condition.
Egypt, Late Period, 26th to 31st Dynasty, 664–332 BC.
Height 6.8 cm - diameter 2.4 cm - elegant shape, a piece full of charm.
Provenance information: France, O.C.E. gallery.
Previous provenance history: Former private collection from Normandy.
