Description from the seller
Mont Blanc 221 fountain pen, made of black resin.
The Montblanc 221 is an antique model manufactured in the 1970s, with similar models like the 320. It boasts a soft touch and a sophisticated design, making it a consistently popular model.
Montblanc pens from the 1970s and 1980s are highly popular among collectors in Japan, known affectionately as “Old Montblanc” for their smooth and gentle writing feel. Among them, the No. 221, 310, 320P and CLASSIC models are especially favored by those who do a lot of writing, thanks to two key features: they use cartridges, which makes them less prone to mechanical issues, and they have lightweight resin barrels, allowing for effortless writing with minimal hand fatigue. If you haven't tried one yet, I truly hope you'll experience the gentle and comfortable writing feel for yourself.
The nibs of the Montblanc 221 from the 1970s are marked with "585," while those from the 1980s feature the Montblanc star emblem.
