Description from the seller
Daydé - Daydé (Riviera – 521160 T) made in France 1971 original 1st pressing LP | vinyl: NM (mint-) | cover: VG++ (excellent) --> Blues Rock, Psychedelic Rock
French blues and soul singer, guitarist and harmonicist, born March 15th, 1947 in Paris, France.
Here is an internet Quote: This album is a lurking French monster, a bombastic trip of various styles executed to perfection. On side one alone, the faded folk-guitar intro ("I'm Very Well") gives way to a funky explosion of Jimi Hendrix-esque blues-psych ("Can I Live My Life"), Captain Beefheart-flavored acoustic blues ("Confusion"), spacious acoustic laments ("See Here"), and an all-out 8-minute avant-garde-rock experience à la Chico Magnetic Band ("Cocaine"). The lyrics are well-suited, and apart from the pre-intermission freak-out, everything is sung in English, which should give this LP broad international appeal. Joël Daydé was a member of the well-known prog / jazz fusion group Zoo, but this record is way heavier and bluesier than the Zoo LPs. Claude Engel (of Omega Plus and Magma brings a strong blues guitar edge that will likely be favored by fans of groups like Ten Years After, Rory Gallagher, Groundhogs, etc.
A1 I'm Very Well (Part One) 2:15
A2 Can I Live My Life 2:52
A3 Confusion 3:10
A4 See Here 3:30
A5 Cocaine 8:30
B1 Main Line 3:22
B2 The Great Love 3:51
B3 You Got Freedom 4:26
B4 You Honey 6:28
B5 I'm Very Well (Part Two) 1:47
