Description from the seller
Mazzega floor lamp – designed by Christophe Pillet (1980)
Designed by Christophe Pillet, a former collaborator of Philippe Starck and a prominent figure in contemporary French design, this floor lamp is a masterpiece of balance between Murano glass craftsmanship and modern design.
Made for the prestigious Vetreria Mazzega, the piece stands out for its body in hand-blown glass, characterized by a double finish: the lower part in satin opaline white, which diffuses a soft and enveloping light, and the upper part in transparent glass, which gives lightness and verticality to the shape. The base and the structure in brushed metal complete the design with sobriety and elegance.
A distinctive feature of the project is the presence, inside, of a cone in transparent glass that can be used to hold fresh flowers with water, transforming the lamp into a refined multifunctional element capable of combining light and nature in a single aesthetic gesture.
In excellent condition, virtually like new, it represents a rare and collectible piece in the Italian design scene, an authentic expression of the formal innovation that made Mazzega famous internationally.
