Kayserzinn – Vase – Art Nouveau vase with hammered surface and three-dimensional floral appliqués • ca. 1900–1905 – Tin
Description
Medium-sized Art Nouveau tin vase with a fully hand-hammered surface, featuring two organic, loop-shaped handles and richly detailed floral appliqués in high relief. The decoration consists of dynamic, naturalistic thistle branches with finely articulated leaf structures and flowers, characteristic of Kayserzinn's early Jugendstil production. The appliqués are individually modeled and mounted as sculptural elements on the body, creating a strong three-dimensional effect. The design closely aligns with Hugo Leven's style from around 1898–1904 and can be attributed to him or his direct studio. Marked at the bottom KAYSERZINN.
