Classification: Carbonaceous chondrite (CK5)
Petrography: (A. Irving, UWS and P. Carpenter, WUSL) Sparse well-defined, mostly porphyritic chondrules containing Cr-magnetite stained by Fe terrestrial hydroxides are set in a fine grained matrix containing stained Cr-magnetite, subcalcic augite, intermediate plagioclase and composite grains of ilmenite+Cr spinel. Minor secondary calcite, barite and Fe oxide are present.
Geochemistry: Olivine (Fa30.5±0.3, range Fa30.0-30.8, N = 5), low-Ca pyroxene (Fs27.6±1.3Wo0.9±0.4, range Fs26.6-29.2Wo0.4-1.3, Al2O3 3.1-5.3 wt.%, N = 4), pigeonite (Fs23.8Wo9.6, Al2O3 3.0 wt.%), subcalcic augite (Fs14.7Wo30.9, Al2O3 2.2 wt.%), plagioclase (An30.3Or2.5; An50.2Or1.0; N = 2), magnetite (Cr2O3 3.7-3.9 wt.%, N = 3).
