Antique Roman translucent amber-yellow glass unguentarium, dimensions 96 x 25 x 25 mm, dating to the 1st–2nd century AD, from the V.A collection in Maastricht with a certificate of authenticity and export licence where applicable.
Description from the seller
Magnificent unguentarium in translucent glass, slightly amber in color.
An elongated conical belly that rounds off towards the bottom and has a flattened base.
A cylindrical neck narrowed at the base and a mouthpiece with a lip folded inwards, then flattened.
Traces of partial silvery iridescence and some earthy deposits.
