Frys glass is known by various names.
This is also commonly called English glass ripple glass or wire glass.
That we often call Fries glass in the Netherlands.
It is not typical of Friesland but is more common in the northern province of the Netherlands.
Overseas also in France and the United Kingdom.
It evokes a sense of nostalgia in many people.
Now, it is a collectible item for enthusiasts and is produced in various versions.
